These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and services. By booking an appointment or using our website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

1. General Information

Looks by Shaka is a professional makeup artistry service owned and operated by Shakayna Bowen in Massachusetts. We offer makeup services for various occasions, including bridal, photoshoots, and personal events.

2. Booking and Appointments

2.1 Deposit Policy

• A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment.

• Deposits must be paid via Zelle to (857-891-1821).

• The remaining balance is due at the time of your appointment.

 

2.2 Cancellation and Rescheduling

• Clients must cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance to avoid forfeiting the deposit.

• Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment will result in the loss of the deposit.

• In the event of a reschedule, your deposit may be transferred to a new appointment date within 30 days.

 

2.3 Late Arrivals

• A 5-minute grace period is provided. After 5 minutes, a $10 late fee will be charged.

• After 10 minutes, the appointment will be canceled, and the deposit will be forfeited.

 

2.4 No-Show Policy

• No-shows will result in full charge of the service and may result in refusal of future bookings.

 

3. Travel and On-Location Services

• Travel fees start at $20, depending on the location and distance.

• For out-of-state bookings, travel expenses and accommodations must be covered by the client.

• Parking fees, tolls, and other travel-related costs will be added to the final invoice.

 

4. Health and Safety

• Clients are required to disclose any skin conditions, allergies, or sensitivities before the appointment.

• Looks by Shaka reserves the right to refuse service if a client has any contagious conditions (e.g., cold sores, conjunctivitis).

• Clients must arrive with a clean face (free of makeup) to ensure the best application.

 

5. Payments and Fees

• Payments can be made via Zelle or cash. No checks are accepted.

• All prices are listed in USD and are subject to change without notice.

• Additional charges apply for extra services such as lashes or extended sessions.

6. Photography and Social Media

• By booking a service, you agree to allow Looks by Shaka to take and use photos of your makeup application for promotional purposes on social media and marketing materials.

• If you prefer not to have your photo taken, please notify us before the service begins.

 

7. Refund Policy

• Due to the nature of the services provided, no refunds will be issued after services have been rendered.

• If you are dissatisfied with the service, please address concerns before leaving the appointment.

 

8. Liability Disclaimer

• Looks by Shaka is not liable for any allergic reactions, skin irritations, or issues arising from the use of products.

• Clients assume all responsibility for disclosing relevant health concerns prior to the service.

 

9. Privacy Policy

• We respect your privacy. Any personal information provided during booking (name, contact details, etc.) will be kept confidential and used solely for appointment-related communications.

• We do not sell or share client information with third parties.

 

10. Intellectual Property

• All content on this website, including text, images, and branding, is the property of Looks by Shaka and may not be copied or used without permission.

 

11. Changes to Terms

• Looks by Shaka reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time without prior notice. Please review periodically for any changes.
